# Golden Ratio Phi Score for Face Analysis

A phi score estimates how closely visible facial proportions in one photo appear to match common Golden Ratio references. iLook reports this as a separate score out of 100 using φ ≈ 1.618.

## What iLook returns

The API returns `phi_score.score`, `phi_score.reference_ratio`, and `phi_score.explanation`. The reference ratio is always 1.618, and the score is separate from the weighted overall face score.

## Responsible interpretation

Treat phi score as subjective photo-level feedback, not a precise biometric measurement or statement of personal worth. Camera angle, crop, lens distance, lighting, and expression can change apparent proportions.
